SKOPJE, Macedonia -- A forum on cross-border co-operation in the Western Balkans begins on Thursday (June 26th) in Skopje. The two-day event is aimed at helping countries in the region exchange experiences and discuss details of the management of programmes for cross-border co-operation. It will also focus on the establishment of intergovernmental agencies charged with managing and implementing such programmes. Attendees of the forum, supported by the European Commission (EC) through its Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance, will include representatives of national governments in the region, EU envoy to Skopje Erwan Fouere and EC officials.
